*Bump!*
Much love to Stephen at Humidity Skateboards in New Orleans for pretty much setting this whole thing up… we’re lacking anymore detail right now, but as soon as we get more info, you’ll all be the first to know! Definitely expect a major throwdown at Dreamland… and HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THE TEAM… just when you think Hammond’s seen everybody, something like this happens and more you realize that not only is southeast Louisiana blowing up, but it has a skate community like NO OTHER. Click the flyer for a much larger version, and check out Bummer High’s site for info that only they have! Hell yeah!
Deluxe Distribution (makers of Real, Krooked, Anti Hero, Spitfire, to name a few brands) are going to have their new online catalog up pretty soon… Jim Thiebaud (he runs Real and happens to be a real friend to the shop) has been tweeting on Twitter about the progress of the new catalog, and all I want to say right now is pay attention and be one of the first to see it once they upload it… there should be a surprise in there, and I think it’s going to get all the locals hyped in the most righteous of ways. More on that later…
First of all, I want to personally thank Jonathan Burkett (w00t w0000t) for coming through and hooking all of us up with a great scan of the Transworld article featuring the Fourstar crew traveling through the south, New Orleans and our very own Hammond included. One of the best surprise visits ever!
Click the pic below to download a PDF of the article itself (a bit over 6 megs in filesize).
Scuba Steve posted this in the forums, but I thought it was too good to keep there… thanks for letting me share it with everybody else!
RIP Mike, roll forever!
I know this is the end of the week, but it’s still in the week, right?
Quick note: Kerry (shop owner, wall ride to fakie-er, friend to all skaters), Greg, our homie Zack and myself were shredding it on a mini a few weeks ago, when out of nowhere Kerry came up with a way to demolish his shoulder (it was pretty damned harsh slam). Anyway, he’s off his board while he heals up… let’s wish our trusty shopmeister a speedy, 110% recovery. Click for a bigger version, foo!
I just got word that the new issue of Transworld has some photos from our surprise visit from the Four Star crew. I’ll hit the book store tomorrow, confirm, and scan.
…unless you have it and don’t mind scanning it. If that’s the case, please send the article to vectornerd (at) gmail (dot) com. w00t!
