What I guess was supposed to be a game of skate wound up turning into a really sick jam session, with breaks for the little guys to ride the bowl. The night was Byron’s, and not only did he have all of his friends, he had nearly the rest of the local Hammond skate crew in attendance to give him props on his birthday. These are my photos, so apologies in advance.

Birthday Byron…

Gerry toting in some nutrients.

Chrissly Bear around the shallow pocket.

Big frontside snap transfer over the hip, into the deep.

Sequence: Chris and Little Trey, doubles over the deathbox and into the pocket. Be sure to click this one.

Little guy to fakie.

Family and friends.

Jordon, buttery ass front 5.

This is a stupid photo of a perfectly good back boneless to tail by KC. There’s a reason why Gregory takes pics and not me.

Back feebs. After homie did this, he did a frontside over the doorway. You kinda had to be there.

Phantom Dave prowls some lines and gets his carve on.

This is Jordan doing one of those ally-oopy style nollie things from the tranny to the bank. It’s ridiculous to see in real life. Everyone kind’ve hushes so they can hear it smack down perfectly.

This sequence defies physics. This should be a epic slam, but instead it’s one of the gnarliest things I’ve ever seen. The deathbox (the rectangular hole cut out below the lip in the deep end) is called a deathbox for a reason. I’ve accidentally dropped in on it, resulting in injuries that kept me out of the game for quite a while. What you’re seeing below is a 50-50 being brought in on top of the death box. (Someone please remind me what his name is)… if you look closely and follow the path, his rear right wheel fell over the deathbox and into the tranny, versus getting caught in it, a recipe for disaster for sure… but dedication to pull it in prevailed, and our firend here pulled it off:

KC plows over the doorway with a high speed front disaster-monster.

Back smithers over the box.

Mini triples in the deep!

It’s like every square inch of the place is full of happyjuice.
