First of all, huge props to Jason and the Skate Spot crew for putting together yet another successful Gumbo Bowl Jam this past Sunday… much love to all the heads out there, and a big man hug to Donnie “Baby Killa” Landry for being. That’s right, he gets love just for existing. Whattup, Donnie!

Now, surely by now many of you have heard rumors going around as to what went down outside of the contest, and quite frankly, they’re all true. As most of you know, we don’t so much have a “team” as we have a family… and like so many families, when they have a get-together, there’s a lot of drinking, puking, and fighting (with each other).

Collectively, we’re a bunch of dumbasses… not so much a statement of pride, just a statement of fact. Anyway, thanks again to the Lafayette homies for letting the Small Times boys come over and act like fools. Heads up to Bankhead, Gnarly Trey, Little Trey, Jordan, Todd, Josh, Casey (and his crew), more people that I’m probably forgetting, and last but not least:

Unfortunately, due to large amounts of whiskey and beer, none of the events were documented, so above is an artistic recreation of what it was probably like when Ernie brought home mad fame and fortune. Photoshop rules.

Note: These aren’t the Randy Muller graphic boards I mentioned (those will be out soon enough). These are a humorous nod to the legendary Skull Skates that Chrissly Bear put together… the chicken skull mini logos. As always, our shop boards are pressed in the USA… come buy a lot of ‘em!

I’m super happy to announce the arrival of our new shop boards, designed by our friend Marcus Bankhead… he’s a sick skater, a sick artist, and one of the best people you could ever want to know! Check it (and click on the pic for a larger version of the ad):

Shop boards are $45, and we have new shop blanks for $35… as always, our wood is pressed in the USA, and has more pop than a pimple.

Coming up very soon will be yet another shop graphic, designed by Randy Muller, the creator of our other two graphic-based shop boards (the chicken choker and the KFC boards).

I never know what Greg’s gonna send me until I get it, and I’m especially stoked on this because me and Adam have known each other forever… we used to work together, and tons of people though we were related, which was pretty funny considering that his brother worked with us too. So there you have it, I look like I’m more related to Adam than his own brother. haha

If you’ve been to the shop, you’ve probably seen a Lowcard ‘zine on the counter. If you’ve never picked one up and looked at it, you’re missing out… Lowcard pretty much says and does what every other skate mag is afraid to. It’s scabby, funny, gnarballs, and 100% skateboarding. As most south Louisiana residents already know, it simply doesn’t snow here. Yesterday, nature decided to flip the script:

Our locals totally shredded the gnar, brah. The mountain was so powdery we didn’t even need to rock jibs, we just kept it legit at Small Side:
