Happy Halloween!

Filed under: Random, Skate News — Nealio @ 10:46 am

Today’s the day, peeps… we’re going to try and get everyone together at the park for a nice little Hallowizzle jam session, with everyone in costume, so get dressed up and come skate! Like the flyer says… we’re going to start at 3-ish and skate ’till we can’t skate anymore!

Trick or… Tricks?

Filed under: Random — Nealio @ 7:27 pm

Halloween is this coming Tuesday… Josh Ew Uhh came up with a plan to get as many freaks together at the park as possible for a costumed skate session… so here’s the plan:

Halloween Skate Night, from 3 O’Clock ’till you’ve had enough!
Josh made a flyer for the event:

Bankywanky made an alternative flyer here.
…and no, dressing up like a skateboarder does not count.

On the Map… errrr… Earth!

Filed under: Random — Nealio @ 8:12 am

This should appeal to all of my fellow geeks… one of out forum heads (our good friend Beholdforiambob) took it upon himself to create a 3d model of the shop and place it inside the Google Earth database… wait, let me try to say that in English…

Ok, Google has a program that you can download for free called Google Earth. Download it, install it, and then when you’re done, you’ll need to download the “3D Warehouse Network Link“… The 3D Warehouse is a Google Earth addon that lets you see 3d models of real places that people just like you and me can create, to make the Google Earth experience a little more realistic. Once you have all of the stuff I linked to downloaded and installed, just go to the search function in the program and type “Small Time Skates”… you’ll be led to the model that Beholdforiambob built:

This thing is sweet!!! He even got some interior details of the shop… now, I’ve played around with the 3d modeler that he used to make this, and I can tell you that he really went out of his way to add the details included here. If you don’t feel like downloading and installing all the stuff I linked to, but you’d still like to see the model in a larger version, click this forum link that our homie started when he introduced us to the virtual-reality version of Hammond’s only skateshop. Kick ass work Bob… sick sick sick sick, man!!!

As you already know, the Bacon Skateboards demo is coming up very soon… due to the nature of the tour that the guys are on (road trip), I don’t have an exact time to give you. As soon as I know, you’ll know. In the meantime, check out Benji Galloway (one of the main rippers who will be visiting with us).

PS
One of the forum heads gave me this link which is way better than the one I put up.

Important Update!!!
It looks like the Bacon crew will be in town somewhere in the area of 4 or 5 PM on the 18th. w00t!

Rain was cool enough to donate his creation to the shop, where you can come and see it in person. Thanks Rain… you rock, homie!
