Small Times Soldiers
…more to come!
Our Small Time homies in Columbia, MO have recently launched an entirely new website that I invite you to check out right here: http://www.smalltimecomo.com!
There’s more good stuff on there than I can list properly… video, photos, local updates, you name it, they got it up there!
Congrats on the new site, and congrats to all of our Missouri friends that have a new place to stay up on what’s going down in the mid west!
I want to give some big props to Phantom Dave, as he’s our newest moderator. Phantom’s been helping me curb spam in the forums, and now he’s been given a couple of new tools to help even more. Thanks, man!
A:
“I heard that you and cameron spraypainted the bowl at the skatepark…”
“lol wats up dude yeah me and bradley were drunk as fuck that night…”
B:
“…so what if tagged the fuckin skatepark your bitchass aint gonna do nothin…”
Three questions with Chad Muska,
The interview is ongoing! Keep staying tuned to it right here…
We love the True Love Collective. You’ve seen their boards in the shop, expect to be skating with a few of the fellas from True Love very soon. They’re a true core brand… skater owned all the way.
As all of us know, it takes a lot of grassroots work to get a skatepark built. Check out the San Antonio Skatepark Association and give these guys props… if any of you reading this are in Texas, give these cats a hand and help the cause.
On a personal note, I just launched A World Without CEOs to take issue with the IASC (International Association of Skateboard Companies) for their demonization of skateshops that carry shop-decks, as well as their hatred for regionally branded board companies (sort of like Non Visual, Aminal, Chief, etc). The site is called A World Without CEOs, a spoof of A World Without Pros.
As mentioned earlier, Small Time Skates has been interviewing Nate Sherwood over the past few weeks via email. The interview is finished and can be viewed by clicking below (there is some strong language, so don’t be surprised if you see a curse word or two… or ten) :
Remember that Christmas Wish List thing we did during the holidays? Well, it worked so well that we’re making it permanent… if you look to the right, you’ll see a link to a *Special Shop Requests* page. If you’re looking for some gear that we may not have in stock, we’ll do our best to get it for you. Just let us know.
Some of you that visit the site regularly may not be able to see the new menu at the top of the page… on the top of the page, you should see “Home Columbia Forums Photos” and “Contact” (Columbia being the new addition).
If you can’t see it, that means that your computer has saved the old version of the navigation… to fix this, click on the “tools” button at the top of your browser. Depending on which browser you’re using, you should either delete your “temporary internet files,” “cache,” or “offline content.” When you’ve done this, refresh the page and you should see the new navigation. If you have any questions, just post something in the forum and I’ll walk you through it.
If you haven’t already noticed, there’s a new link up top that says “Columbia.” That link will bring you to the official Columbia Missouri section of the website… it’s actually a website on its own. I’ll be helping run it for a little while, but Shane (the godfather of the skate scene over there) will be taking over as soon as I show him how to use the blogging software we use here.
Anyway, I want to say WELCOME to all of our new family members… be sure to join the forums and talk some smack with us.
w000t!
