Dead Gregory’s New Magical Camera
Check these pics out… our homie got himself a fancy little DSLR, and is now sharing a nice grip of photos from Hammond, Lulling, and beyond… sickness!

I just got back from a conference at LA Tech in Ruston, Louisiana and found a bunch of killer spots that seem to be untouched for the most part. Check the pics here.
These are from Shane, the man holding down the Small Time Skates scene in Missouri… lots of pics from not only MO heads, but some of our locals as well… not to mention, a few pics of Alex Vestal… click here to check em out.
More on the way!
A friend of the shop and veteran skater named Mike hooked us up with two big photo albums full of skating from the 70’s and 80’s, featuring some insane backyard ramps, Kona, and Stone Edge skateparks. When I get big batches of photos, I have a few choices… I can either take them out of the album sleeves and scan them (which was out of the question for these, since I risked damaging them), or I could scan the album sleeves themselves and cut them up in Photoshop. I decided not to cut these up and upload them individually for two reasons… reason one: Mike sent us so many photos, it would take a few days for me to process them individually, and two: the pics make more sense when you look at them as a group. Check out Mike’s gallery here and you’ll see what I mean:
I really recommend that you go through each photo in the gallery… if you’re a skater, you’ll see that even though the boards, clothes, tricks and ramps are different, the heart of skating is exactly the same. I got the same notion from Phantom Dave’s pics a while back; the feeling we get from skating with our friends is the same feeling skaters from the 70’s had… we get the same adrenaline rush, the same close calls, the same excitement from landing a new trick, and the same bruises from not-quite-landing-right (aka busting our asses). There is no old school… there may be old skateboarders, but as long as we ride, we’re all getting educated.
…and yeah, Mike still skates.
Shop friend/my homie Josh O hooked us up with a stash of pics from yesterday’s Navigator demo… there’s no doubt that his pics look waaaay better than mine. I uploaded a gallery of his pics right here. Here are a few from the stash that I’m especially stoked on:

Navigator’s Gator, BS snaps…

Pete, also from Navigator… blunt to BS 180 pop back in…

Local monster Todd the Grom, *switch* backside 180 heel flizzle…

Me, not in front of a computer… stalefish.
Props to you Josh… thanks for the pics man!

The weather was great, the team was killing it, and everyone had a great time… this was the kind of demo that I love… everyone skated with the team (as opposed to sitting around just watching them). Props to Bankhead and Gangsta Josh for winning a set of wheels and a pair of trucks, too. I put a photo gallery up here… as always, I put up both the good pics and the ones that didn’t come out so well. There’s well over a hundred pics, so be prepared to spend a lot of time looking through them (I know I did).
Here are some randoms:

BC with a big boneless one…

Crooks down the big rail…

Gator (no, not the one in prison), with a big snap over the rail…

Rob Aaron (before his board got shot into a mud pit) playing in the bird bath…
As I mentioned, we skated with the team too… here are some of the Small Time Soldiers killing it last night…

Bankhead with a FS 180 (he came right back to do a BS 180 nollie in the same line)…

Jordan, teetering a feeble on the barrier…

Gnarly Trey with a FS 5-0, with a pop back in.
YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!
We did get a lot of video… I’ll try to have it edited and on the site by the weekend!
PEACE!
Sorry for the wait everybody… I’ve been lazy. Click here to check ‘em out!
Kerry, Weird Randy, Big Trey and me went to Baton Rouge yesterday… I only have a few really good photos, but Kerry got some insane video. We’ll be using the footage in our upcoming Small Time Skates DVD. In the meantime, here are some preview pics:

Randy with a buttery FS Smith through a kink

This is Trey… off of the steps and over the sidewalk at a million miles an hour. He’s a beast.

Me doing a frontside…

The rest of the pics are right here.
