I just got an email from a guy named Rick McElrath… Rick skated all around Baton Rouge back in 1977 when he was 17. As he told me in his email, now he’s 48, skating with his kids, and working on a committee to get a proper park built by next summer. Check out his blog here.

If you’re reading this and you’re lacking a place to really ride, stop reading and start getting to work! Nobody’s going to just give you a spot… you have to either build your own or force your government to work for you like they’re supposed to.
