Revolution Skate Park is Closed + BREC Rumor

Filed under: Skate News — Nealio @ 3:51 pm

I just got word in today that Revolution Skate park in Baton Rouge has closed its doors. It’s always sad to hear about a skate spot disappearing from the landscape… to all of you Baton Rougeons that no longer have transitions to ride, feel free to roll in Hammond any day, every day.

One last bit: I caught a rumor that BREC (the most inefficient bureaucracy in Louisiana) is about to “break ground” on a new skate park close to the Velodrome. Though I wish them the best of luck, I’ll only believe it when I see it. BREC never fails to disappoint.

Yeh, I went there Nov 3rd and it had a “change of occupancy” or some such posted on the door with no furniture inside anymore:(

Since their phone was disconnected b4 I left the house and after seeing the note on the door I was tempted to go around back to check if any of the ramps were still there just to see if the lock up was for like in case someone was moving in there too for extra permits or was actually closing down the whole place but didn’t want a cop to pass by and get me for trespassing.
