On the Map… errrr… Earth!
This should appeal to all of my fellow geeks… one of out forum heads (our good friend Beholdforiambob) took it upon himself to create a 3d model of the shop and place it inside the Google Earth database… wait, let me try to say that in English…
Ok, Google has a program that you can download for free called Google Earth. Download it, install it, and then when you’re done, you’ll need to download the “3D Warehouse Network Link“… The 3D Warehouse is a Google Earth addon that lets you see 3d models of real places that people just like you and me can create, to make the Google Earth experience a little more realistic. Once you have all of the stuff I linked to downloaded and installed, just go to the search function in the program and type “Small Time Skates”… you’ll be led to the model that Beholdforiambob built:

This thing is sweet!!! He even got some interior details of the shop… now, I’ve played around with the 3d modeler that he used to make this, and I can tell you that he really went out of his way to add the details included here. If you don’t feel like downloading and installing all the stuff I linked to, but you’d still like to see the model in a larger version, click this forum link that our homie started when he introduced us to the virtual-reality version of Hammond’s only skateshop. Kick ass work Bob… sick sick sick sick, man!!!
